New seasonal work from Virginia Living on the Blessing of the Hounds. This also marks the first issue in which I did not get to work with my long time colleague and friend- Art Director Tyler Darden. Amazing sterling. I like the use of pattern on the dog to make one giant grouping to bring more interest to the simplicity of the man and landscape.

gumkid- Shawn, I miss having you around and I'm proud to see the progress you are making with your work and your career! I enjoyed painting this one and I think that there will be more dogs in my future! I had the pleasant surprise of a studio visit from Hawlsey Minor prompted by this piece. He had some great insight into directions to pursue with my work. If I can only find some time to paint these days!
