New seasonal work from Virginia Living on the Blessing of the Hounds. This also marks the first issue in which I did not get to work with my long time colleague and friend- Art Director Tyler Darden. Tyler, you'll be missed in the pages of Virginia Living, but I'll see you in the trenches of the freelance world! Thanks for all the great years, guidance and support.

Amazing sterling. I like the use of pattern on the dog to make one giant grouping to bring more interest to the simplicity of the man and landscape.

gumkid- Shawn, I miss having you around and I'm proud to see the progress you are making with your work and your career! I enjoyed painting this one and I think that there will be more dogs in my future! I had the pleasant surprise of a studio visit from Hawlsey Minor prompted by this piece. He had some great insight into directions to pursue with my work. If I can only find some time to paint these days!
