10 illustration were accepted into the Society of Illustrators New York Annual competition! All of the selected images were in categories other than Book, which I served on the jury for. The maximum allowed in the show for an individual artist is 5 + any medals that you receive, so I had to narrow my entries down to six from the 10 selected.
I received a Gold Medal (my first) from the Society of Illustrators New York Annual competition in the Editorial category for the "Sleeping Prophet" illustration! The illustration was commissioned by Tyler Darden for the back page of Virginia Living magazine. I'm thrilled to win this with Tyler, as we've been working together for years now.
